A student of Delhi Public School,Jammu brought laurels by winning the Open chess Event.

Eleven years old Soham Kamotra of class VI-D of Delhi Public School, Jammu won the Open Chess event in Senior Category organized by Ace Chess Academy, Trikuta Nagar.
Ravi Sharma of Kathua got second position, while Maxim Singh and Arushi Kotwal got 3rd and 4th position respectively. The fifth position went to Akashdeep Singh Bhatia. Thrilling fights were witnessed in this event in which seniors were left behind by 11 years old boy in very tough fight. Players from other district also participated in this event.
Dr. A S Bhatia, HOD Bio Sciences GMC and Taranvir Singh Gujral, Vice President “ All J&K Chess Association” distributed the prizes among the winners also present on the occasion were Atul Kumar Gupta, President “All J &K Chess Association, Vijay Choudhary, Director Ace Chess Academy.
While speaking on the occasion, Taranvir Singh and said that it is very encouraging that young participants are rising very quickly due to regular events organized by the Academy and days are not far away when J &K players will shine at international scene.
The Management, Principal & Staff of Delhi Public School Jammu also appreciated and congratulated the winner for this excellent achievement.
