DPS Students Qualify for Grand Finale of Prestigious IEEE YESIST12 2025 in Malaysia

In a momentous achievement that brings immense pride to Delhi Public School, Jammu and the Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir, a team of brilliant minds from Class XII-A—Manya Targotra, Rudraksh Bargotra, Danish Talwar, and Manaswin Mahajan—have made it to the Grand Finale of IEEE YESIST12 2025, a premier international innovation challenge hosted by the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), headquartered in the United States of America.
Their innovative project titled “The Carbifier”, mentored by the dedicated Mr. Parshant, was selected under the Junior Einstein – Direct Entry Track. Chosen from over 1,000 global submissions, the project stood out for its exceptional creativity, technical insight, and commitment to sustainable development. The Carbifier aims to address pressing environmental challenges using technological innovation, earning high praise from the international judging panel.
IEEE YESIST12 (Youth Endeavours for Social Innovation using Sustainable Technology) is a globally acclaimed platform that encourages students and young professionals to conceptualize and implement technological solutions for social good. The 2025 edition—marking 100 years of the Field Effect Transistor (FET)—focuses on sustainable innovation and witnessed participation from thousands of schools and colleges across more than 20 countries, with preliminary rounds conducted at over 30 global pilot centers.
The Grand Finale of IEEE YESIST12 2025 will be held in-person at the IEEE UKM Student Branch, Malaysia, on August 23–24, 2025. Participation in this prestigious global event places the DPS team among an elite group of future leaders in science and innovation.
