DPS JAMMU’S RIGVED WINS GOLD AT 3RD JUNIOR ASIAN PENCAK SILAT CHAMPIONSHIP

Delhi Public School Jammu takes immense pride in announcing that its outstanding student, Rigved of Class XI-B, has brought glory to the school and the nation by clinching a Gold Medal for Team India in the 75–79 kg weight category at the 3rd Junior Asian Pencak Silat Championship 2025–26. Adding to this triumph, Sparsh Sharma of Class IX-E also made the school proud by securing a Bronze Medal in the 63–67 kg weight category.

The prestigious event, hosted at the Sher-I-Kashmir Indoor Sports Complex, Srinagar, under the aegis of the J&K Sports Council Association, witnessed participation from 12 countries across Asia. Rigved showcased unwavering grit and sporting excellence, defeating his opponent from Uzbekistan in the semifinal and triumphing over a Kazhikkan challenger in the grand finale to emerge as the Asian Champion. Meanwhile, Sparsh displayed remarkable skill and determination, competing against top martial artists from across 11 Asian nations, and carved a special place for himself on the international stage.

This double victory reflects the school’s emphasis on holistic development, inspiring students to excel not only in academics but also in sports and co-curricular pursuits. Rigved’s gold medal, in particular, stands as a shining milestone of national pride, while Sparsh’s bronze adds to the school’s growing legacy of sporting excellence.

The distinguished Management, DPS Jammu — Hon’ble President-RCT, Sh. M.K. Ajatshatru Singh Ji; Hon’ble PVC, Kunwarani Dr. Ritu Singh Ji; Hon’ble Director, Sh. S.S.
