DPS JAMMU STUDENTS WIN GOLD MEDALS IN JAMMU DIVISION KARATE CHAMPIONSHIP 2025

Kyra Thakyal (Class I-F) and Lakshay Bhatia (Class IX-G), students of Delhi Public School Jammu, brought laurels to the school and made their parents proud by winning gold medals in the Jammu Division Karate Championship 2025, organized by the Jammu and Kashmir Karate Do Association. The event was held at Bhagwati Nagar, Jammu, from 14th to 16th October 2025.
Kyra competed in the 20 kg weight category, while Lakshay participated in the 45 kg weight category. In addition to their gold medals, both students were also awarded Certificates of Merit for their outstanding performances.
The esteemed Management of DPS Jammu, under the leadership of Hon’ble President-RCT, Sh. M.K. Ajatshatru Singh Ji, Distinguished PVC, Kuwarani Dr. Ritu Singh Ji, and Hon’ble Director, Sh. S.S. Sodhi Ji, along with Principal, Ms. Ruchi Chabra, and the faculty, congratulated both students, their parents, and their dedicated coach, Mr. Suresh Kumar, on this remarkable achievement. They also extended their best wishes to the young champions for continued success in all their future endeavours.
