DPS Jammu’s Senior Artist Honoured at Prestigious J&K Art Show

Delhi Public School Jammu takes immense pride in announcing that Mr. Suresh Sharma, Senior Artist and Head of the Department of Fine Arts, was among the five eminent artists from Jammu & Kashmir selected to interact with students of the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Jammu) during an Art Exhibition and Interaction Session held at Kala Kendra, Bikram Chowk, Jammu.

The event was jointly organised by Natrang Jammu, Kala Kendra Jammu, and IIM Jammu under the aegis of the Department of Culture, Government of J&K, aiming to bridge creativity and management through the lens of art and innovation.

Mr. Sharma, a veteran art educator and revered mentor at DPS Jammu, represented the school with distinction. His insightful interaction with IIM students reflected his deep belief in experiential learning and indigenous aesthetics.

The recognition was conferred by Padma Shri Thespian Sh. Balwant Thakur, Director Natrang, and Sh. Javaid Rahi, Secretary Kala Kendra Jammu, who lauded the artists’ contribution to preserving the region’s cultural heritage.

The esteemed management of DPS Jammu — Hon’ble President-RCT Sh. M.K. Ajatshatru Singh Ji, Distinguished PVC Kunwarani Dr. Ritu Singh Ji, Hon’ble Director Sh. S.S. Sodhi Ji, along with Principal Ms. Ruchi Chabra and staff — congratulated Mr. Suresh Sharma on this prestigious honour and wished him continued success in his artistic journey.
