DPS JAMMU’S KANISHA SAWHNEY WINS 1ST POSITION IN DISTRICT-LEVEL CHESS TOURNAMENT

Kanisha Sawhney, a student of Class VII-J at Delhi Public School Jammu, brought laurels to the school and her parents by securing the 1st position in the Inter-District Chess Tournament organized by the Department of Youth Services and Sports, held at Ramban from 28th to 29th October 2025. She competed in the Under-15 Girls category and was also awarded a Merit Certificate for her outstanding performance.
The esteemed Management of DPS Jammu—Hon’ble President-RCT, Sh. M.K. Ajatshatru Singh Ji, Distinguished PVC, Kunwarani Dr. Ritu Singh Ji, and Hon’ble Director, Sh. S.S. Sodhi Ji—along with Principal, Ms. Ruchi Chabra, and the school staff, congratulated Kanisha and her proud parents on this remarkable achievement. They also extended their best wishes to her for continued success in all future competitions.
