DELHI PUBLIC SCHOOL CELEBRATED MOTHER’S DAY

‘God cannot be everywhere, so he created Mother’s” truly quoted. Delhi Public School celebrated Mother’s Day with immense passion and zeal. Jhelum House presented a special assembly to acknowledge the love, hard work and all the sacrifices that Mothers make for all of us. The Assembly began with a brilliant quote of the day by Aakash – XI H, whereas Smriti-XI I & Mitali X F hosted the assembly. Performance Poetry was presented by Niharika of XII F, Antra- VIII B, Vrishti-VIII A and Vanshi Koul XI E. The articulation and act of the performers made the audience totally spellbound. Ishita – XI I spoke on Mother’s Day origin and relevance, while the School choir dedicated a wonderful song to Mothers. The Principal Ms Ruchi Chabra, Headmistress and staff members were present on the occasion.

The school also organized various activities to celebrate the day. The prep school children made cards for their mothers. Classes II to VII made photo collages to share the golden memories of the unique bond with their mothers. Classes VIII to XII wrote prose/poetry on the ““How can you change your Mother’s World by your own ways”. The students of Prayas Club visited the Old Age Home to celebrate the occasion with the old inmates. The students took part in all the activities with great eagerness. Head Mistress, Ms Meenu Gupta, conveyed her best wishes on the occasion.

Principal, Ms Ruchi Chabra, blessed all the children on the occasion and reminded the children about their duty towards their mothers. The President RCT, M.K Ajatshatru Singh, PVC Kunwrani Ritu Singh and Director Mr. S S Sodhi also forwarded their best wishes to all on this solemn occasion.
