DELHI PUBLIC SCHOOL JAMMU ORGANISES BLUE DAY

Pre-primary wing of DPS Jammu organized Blue Day for class Pre-Nursery students. The mothers of the tiny tots were invited to take part in the fun-filled activities along with their children on this day. Adorned in blue caps, masks, badges and blue dresses, the kids looked adorable as they presented their mothers with a crown entitled “World’s Best Mother”.
The mother and the child duo actively participated in activities such as hand printing, card making, colouring, jewellery making, etc. The main attraction was preparing a soft board on the sea world and a blue peacock, wherein both mothers and children thoughtfully enjoyed the colouring, painting and craft work involved. To further emphasise on the significance of the blue colour, the Venue was decorated with beautiful cuts out and objects of blue colour, while all the mothers and Staff members were attired in blue.
Speaking on the occasion, Principal DPS Jammu, Ms Ruchi Chabra advised the mothers to maintain a continuity of communication with the school and to create a similar participatory environment at home as well, for wholesome and all round development of their children. Ms Meenu Gupta, Headmistress, stressed upon activity based learning that is the main ingredient of the teaching methodology. She also applauded the creativity of the mothers.
The day ended with the cake cutting, group photographs, smiles and laughters all around. Ms Preeti Abrol, Coordinator Prep Wing was also present on the occasion. The event was compered by Ms Kamini Sahni.
