DPS Jammu Excels in Open Inter School Painting Competition

Vanshee Kaul-class XI –E of Delhi Public School, Jammu, won 2nd prize along with cash of Rs. 3000/- in group B, “Inter School on the spot Painting Competition” on the theme “Drugs is an invitation to death and destruction” organized by J&K Excise Department held on 16th June 2016 across the State as a part of its antidrug campaign. J&K Excise Commissioner. Mr. Tsering Angchok was the Chief Guest for the Prize Distribution ceremony organized by the department on 23rd July 2016 at Amar Singh Club, Jammu and felicitated winners of painting competition. Around 2,000 students had participated in this open competition under two categories of students i.e. 1st to 6th standard and 7th to 12th standard.
Principal, Ms Ruchi Chabra applauded the efforts of the winner Vanshee Koul and wished her luck for her future endeavours. Mr. Suresh Sharma, Art Faculty member of DPS, Jammu was also present on the occasion.
