Delhi Public School Explored Heritage Week

Delhi Public School explored Heritage Week from 8th August 2016 to 12th August 2016, to make students of classes II to V aware of rich and vast cultural Heritage of Incredible India. Throughout the week students experienced a diverse range of activities to experience and enjoy the colourful, magnificent and linguistic diversity of their own country. The students witnessed the documentaries showcasing true colours of eastern, western, northern and southern India. During the activity students wore different cultural dresses, explored food culture, decorated the class board with the pictures of various monuments and showcased some of the ethnic rituals related to different cultures.
Different classes represented the traditions, costumes and culture of Capital of India-New Delhi, Punjab, Jammu & Kashmir and Northern India in their respective classes. The students also displayed the various dance forms from various parts of India. The young Indians come more closer to their own country by this activity. Headmistress, Ms Meenu Gupta, congratulated the spirit of students and faculty members and stressed that such celebrations develop in children a sense of appreciation & respect for their heritage. She appealed students to explore more about their culture and heritage.
Principal, Ms Ruchi Chabra, appreciated the efforts and urged the students to value their rich heritage and conserve it for many more generations to come.
