Miss Asia 2025 Kavya Bali Receives a Gracious Welcome on Children’s Day at DPS Jammu

Under the visionary initiative of Kunwrani Dr. Ritu Singh Ji, Hon’ble PVC, Delhi Public School Jammu and Founder, DPS Jammu/Nagbani/Katra , DPS Jammu organised a special Children’s Day assembly that turned extraordinary as the school proudly celebrated the remarkable achievement of its illustrious alumna, Kavya Bali, Batch 2023–24, recently crowned Miss Asia 2025 at a glittering grand finale held at the Gokulam Convention Center, Kochi.
Welcomed by the school band, Kavya was given a warm red carpet reception by the school staff and students. The little crowned fairies of the pre-primary wing, dressed in their colourful attires, showered flower petals on the red carpet pathway while presenting her the “My DPS Queen” crown and flowers, elegantly waving their pom-poms. She was also presented with a potted plant as a token of welcome and respect by the Principal and the Vice Principal.
The program commenced with the lighting of the lamp and paying floral tributes to India’s first Prime Minister, Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, followed by the reading of the citation of Kavya Bali.
The atmosphere brimmed with joy as teachers dedicated a melodious Children’s Day song to the students, expressing their affection and pride. This was followed by an enchanting guitar and singing performance by talented student musicians. Ms. Laxmi recited a heartfelt motivational poem that deeply resonated with the audience. Adding to the vibrancy, a lively dance performance by Suresh Sir and the Little Rock Stars of Class I brought the audience to their feet amidst thunderous applause.
A proud alumna of the Batch of 2023–24, Kavya has brought immense glory to her alma mater and the nation. Her journey from being the Outreach Ambassador and Peer Educator at DPS Jammu to an international titleholder was highlighted as a testament to her dedication, humility, and grace. Before her continental triumph, she represented Jammu & Kashmir at Miss Queen of India 2025, where she was adjudged Second Runner-Up. She was also Runner-Up at Miss Navi Mumbai. Currently pursuing higher studies at Mithibai College, Mumbai, she continues to nurture her passion for media, fashion, and the performing arts.
In her heartfelt address, Ms. Kavya Bali shared her inspirational journey, urging students to believe in themselves, stay grounded, and chase their dreams with determination and kindness. Her interaction during the Q&A session was a highlight, as she answered questions with warmth and sincerity—leaving every Dipsite motivated and proud. Kavya captivated everyone with her grace, intelligence, and confidence, truly deserving of her title.
This was followed by the felicitation of student achievers of recent sports and co-curricular events by Kavya and other dignitaries.
The school proudly felicitated Rigved (XI-B) and Sparsh (IX-E) for winning gold and bronze at the 3rd Junior Asian Pencak Silat Championship, Srinagar. Madhavendra Singh (XI-E) was honoured for clinching national-level medals in pickleball and soft tennis. Ayan Mahajan (XI) was felicitated for winning silver in Taekwondo at the 69th School National Games. Namish Gupta secured first position in the District Handball Championship. Dhariya Rotwalt (VI-D) earned accolades for ranking 11th among the Top 5 in the CBSE North Zone examinations with a score of 386 and winning the Inter-School Shooting Competition. Amey Chourey (XI) secured a silver medal in the District Cycling Championship. Lakshay Bhatia was honoured for winning gold medals at the NTTA Classic North Zone Taekwondo Championship in Chandigarh, 2025.
The Principal, Ms. Ruchi Chabra, expressed immense pride in Ms. Bali’s accomplishments, remarking that her journey is a reminder that success is not achieved overnight—rather, it is built step by step through discipline, humility, and belief in oneself. She encouraged students to become children with good hearts, sharing light, goodness, empathy, kindness, and love wherever they go. She congratulated all students and teachers for their remarkable performances.
The Vice Principal, Ms. Meenu Gupta, motivated the students to follow their dreams with diligence and discipline, reminding them that every DIPSITE carries within them the potential to excel. She urged them to embrace challenges and courageously strive for excellence.
The assembly concluded with heartfelt messages reminding students that they are the heartbeat of the school and the promise of a brighter tomorrow. The celebration ended on a patriotic note with the singing of the National Anthem.

Sodhi Ji, along with Principal Ms. Ruchi Chabra, conveyed their heartfelt wishes to Kavya on her exceptional achievement and extended warm Children’s Day greetings to all students.
