DPS JAMMU ARCHERS EXCEL AT STATE AND NATIONAL ARCHERY CHAMPIONSHIPS

The State Level Archery Competition was held at SMVD Stadium, Katra, from 27–28 October 2025, organized by the Department of Youth Services and Sports. The talented archers of DPS Jammu delivered commendable performances.
• Japleen Kour (VII-C) secured 4th rank in the U-14 category, earning qualification for the SGFI Nationals.
• Janya Luthra (IX-C) achieved 2nd rank in the U-17 category and also qualified for the SGFI Nationals.
• Navya Vuthoo (IX-E) attained 5th rank in the U-17 category.
Following their outstanding performances at the State Level, Japleen Kour (VII-C) represented the school in the SGFI National Archery Championship, held at Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Stadium, Varanasi, from 16–23 November 2025, where she secured the 80th rank in the U-14 category, while Janya will be representing the school at the SGFI Nationals in January 2026.
The school also showcased remarkable achievements in the Inter-District Archery Competition, held at M.A. Stadium, Jammu, and organized by the Archery Association of J&K from 11–13 November 2025.
• Japleen Kour (VII-C) - Silver Medal in the U-14 category.
• Ridhaan Singh (VI-I) - Bronze Medal in the U-14 category.
• Kavyansh Singh (IX-E) - 4th rank in the U-17 category.
• Jaskirat Singh (VI-J) - 5th rank in the U-14 category.
The esteemed management of DPS Jammu, under the visionary leadership of Hon’ble President-RCT, Sh. M.K. Ajatshatru Singh Ji, Distinguished PVC, Kunwarani Dr. Ritu Singh Ji, and Hon’ble Director, Sh. S.S. Sodhi Ji, along with Principal, Ms. Ruchi Chabra, congratulated all the winners, participants, their parents, and their dedicated coach, Mr. Balram Singh, for their admirable achievements. They extended their best wishes to the young archers for their future competitions.
