DPS JAMMU ORGANISES PEER EDUCATOR’S WORKSHOP ON PROCRASTINATION & ACADEMIC BOUNDARIES

Delhi Public School Jammu successfully conducted an enlightening and action-oriented workshop on “Procrastination and Academic Boundaries” for the students of classes VII & VIII. The workshop aimed to empower students with practical strategies to manage time effectively, prioritise academic responsibilities, and maintain a healthy balance between schoolwork and personal well-being.
A key highlight of the programme was the interactive session led by the Peer Educator Team, who engaged the audience through discussions, relatable scenarios, and real-life reflections. The Peer Educators included: Akshar Basson (XII), Shivyansh Mahajan (XII), Mariyam (IX), Zeeshan (IX), Rabbani (IX), Nidea (IX), Neelaksh (IX), and Azkah (IX). Their participation added a student-driven dimension to the workshop, making the session more relatable and dynamic.
To further deepen understanding, students also presented a thought-provoking skit centred on the themes of procrastination and the importance of establishing strong academic boundaries. The performance creatively depicted challenges faced by today’s learners and highlighted actionable ways to overcome them.
An informative presentation was also delivered by Tanishka (XII) and Ashmika (XII) - Outreach Ambassadors offering practical tools, tips, and strategies to help students stay motivated, organised, and academically disciplined.
School Counsellor Ms. Supreet Kour also addressed the students and gave them tips to overcome Procrastination and highlighted the importance of doing things on time.
The session was conducted under the valuable guidance of Ms. Deepti Kandhari whose expertise and mentorship ensured the workshop was insightful, structured, and impactful.
The team expressed heartfelt gratitude to the Principal, Ms. Ruchi Chabra and the Vice Principal, Ms. Meenu Gupta for their continuous encouragement, guidance, and support, which played a pivotal role in the success of this workshop.
The workshop concluded with a collective pledge by students to implement the learnings in their daily routines and strive towards becoming more focused, responsible, and self-disciplined individuals.
