DPS Jammu Hosts a Career Counselling Session under the Visionary Leadership of Kuwarani Dr. Ritu Singh, Founder & Pro-Vice Chairperson

Under the visionary guidance of Kuwarani Dr. Ritu Singh, Founder & Pro-Vice Chairperson, Delhi Public School, Jammu, DPS Jammu hosted an Awareness-cum-Interactive Session on Career Counselling for students of Classes XI and XII on December 22, 2025. The session, delivered by distinguished resource persons from NIFT Srinagar, aimed at familiarizing students with emerging career opportunities in Fashion Technology and allied creative fields.

The session was conducted by Dr. Yaseer A. Mir, Assistant Professor, Department of Fashion Communication; Mr. Syed Azher, Joint Director; and Mr. Barkat Ullah Lone, Assistant Director, NIFT Srinagar. They were accompanied by Mr. Raman Gupta, Managing Director, Krishna Group of Industries and a social activist.

Students were introduced to diverse career domains including fashion technology, design communication, animation, graphics, wearable technology, the application of artificial intelligence in fashion, and sustainable innovation, enabling them to gain a clear understanding of the scope, skill requirements, and future prospects of these rapidly evolving creative industries.

The programme reaffirmed the vision of Kuwarani Dr. Ritu Singh to shape future-ready global citizens by seamlessly integrating creativity, technology, and global relevance into school education. The session witnessed an enthusiastic response, with students actively participating and posing insightful questions during the interactive Q&A session with the NIFT faculty.

Earlier, Ms. Ruchi Chabra, Principal, DPS Jammu, delivered the welcome address and felicitated the resource persons with potted plants and mementos along with the staff members.
