DPS JAMMU LIFTS OVERALL CHAMPIONSHIP TROPHY IN INTER DPS SKATING NATIONALS

Dhruv Gupta of Class X G and Raghav Gupta of XII B of Delhi Public School Jammu created magical history for Delhi Public School Jammu by winning Overall Championship trophy in prestigious Inter DPS Skating Nationals, held from 11th to 13th November, 2016 at DPS Karnal, in which 52 participants from 26 DPS Schools from all over India participated in different Skating events. Dhruv Gupta was awarded with the Best Player's trophy of the tournament by winning Gold in 750 m race with a record timing of 2:07:47 micro seconds & Silver in Time Trail (300 m) race with a record timing of 47:99 seconds, while Raghav Gupta qualified for semi finals of 750 m race. Together, the boys proudly lifted Overall Championship trophy for their school by winning 8 points out of 10. The skaters were guided in their achievements by their coach- Mr.Arnav Mahajan.

Principal, DPS Jammu Ms Ruchi Chabra congratulated both the winners, their parents and the coach Mr. Arnav Mahajan and remarked that the Championship award would serve as encouragement for other young skaters to follow their foot steps.

Hon’ble President RCT, M.K Ajatshatru Singh Ji, Hon’ble PVC Kunwrani Ritu Singh Ji and Hon’ble Director Sh. S S Sodhi also conveyed their best wishes to the winners, their parents and the coach.
