DPS JAMMU BIDS ADIEU TO OUTGOING BATCH OF CLASS XII

Delhi Public School Jammu organised Blessing and farewell ceremony “Bazm-e-Rukhsat” for the outgoing batch of Class XII at the Grand Resort here today. The ceremony commenced with the auspicious lamp lighting followed by blessing ceremony, wherein the students held brightly lit candles in their hands, while the esteemed Principal, DPS Jammu, Ms Ruchi Chabra along with the staff, bestowed blessings upon the children. Devoting the day to the years spent together with friends, teachers and reminiscences of joyous moments, class XI students presented lively array of cultural items. There were soulful songs in English and Hindi, depicting sad separation, glorious days of friendships and mesmerizing dance performances including bhangra & free style dancing. An incredible dance performance on the bollywood song ‘Mehram’ presented by Vanshi & Rajnandini of class XI and the group stole everyone’s heart.
The most awaited moment was the DPS Titles Round, wherein around 70 students contested for the five coveted titles in three competitive elimination rounds: Qui-Est lu?, Insouciant & In Virum Stantem. The result was as follows:

Mr. Versatile - Ayush Ms Versatile - Akshima

All of them were awarded with the gifts & sashes, while all students of class XII were given best wishes cards, titles and mementoes. This was followed by a Grand Cake-Cutting ceremony and valedictory speeches by the Head Boy, Head Girl and all the title winners. The programme was made livelier by adding Fun Games for the students, surprise gifts, a selfie corner and a sumptuous lunch.
Speaking on the occasion Principal DPS, Jammu urged the children to carry forward the torch of enlightenment and live up to the school motto ‘Service Before Self’. She wished all students good luck for their upcoming board examinations. Ms Meenu Gupta, Headmistress, also blessed the students. Also present on the occasion were Dy. Headmaster Mr. Ravi Kotru, Chief Coordinator Mr. Umesh Sharma, Administrator Mr. Malhotra, Accounts Officer Mr. R C Gupta, CGM Mr. S S Jamwal, Manager Operations Mr. Karandeep and other coordinators.

Hon’ble President RCT, M.K Ajatshatru Singh Ji, Hon’ble PVC, Kunwrani Ritu Singh Ji and Hon’ble Director, Sh. S.S Sodhi Ji also conveyed their best wishes to all class XII students for their upcoming Board Examinations and wished them a very bright future ahead.
