DELHI PUBLIC SCHOOL JAMMU ORGANISED INTER HOUSE “POET IN MOTION COMPETITION”

Delhi Public School Jammu organised an Inter House “Poet in Motion” competition for Classes XI and XII. Two participants from each of the five Houses recited poems on the theme “My Lively Earth”. One by one, they entered and exited stage to the tune of the music and fascinated the audience with their Spell-binding poetry presentation, expressing their adulation for Earth. Mrs. Hitesh Kaul and Mr. Raghuraj Sehgal, Senior English faculty of the School judged the event on the basis of expression, intonation, pronunciation, rhyme & rhythm of the participants.
Result of the event was as follows:-
First position – Ganga House (Arya Bargotra of XII J)
Second position – Jhelum and Chenab House (Evanka Gupta of XII J & Pratishtha of XI B).
Third Position – Yamuna House (Rishika Bhardwaj of XI B & Agrim of XI D).
Best Poet in Motion (Girls) Title – Arya Bargotra of XII J
Best Poet in Motion (Boys) Title – Ikjyot Singh of XI J
Two consolation prizes were received by Vatsalya of XI D & Nipun Mahajan of XI B.
Principal DPS Jammu, Ms. Ruchi Chabra applauded and appreciated the performance of the students. She encouraged the students to always hold their ground,
no matter what.
Hon’ble President, RCT, M.K Ajatshatru Singh ji, Hon’ble PVC Kunwrani Ritu Singh Ji and Hon’ble Director Mr. S.S Sodhi conveyed their best wishes to the students and advised them to do their best to make this Earth Clean and Green.
