DELHI PUBLIC SCHOOL JAMMU PARTICIPATED IN WORLD ENVIRONMENT DAY ACTIVITIES

DPS Jammu participated in National painting drive on the occasion of World Environment Day organised by 92.7 Big FM on the theme ‘No Pollution More Plantation’ held on 4th June, 2017 at Wave Mall, Jammu. Vrindalika Sharma (III-D) won 1st Prize in group A, Medhavi Tickoo (IX-A) won 2nd Prize in group B, Vanshika Jain (X-B) won 1st Prize and Rythm Jain (IX-A) won 2nd Prize in Group C. The winners were awarded with trophies and certificates.
On 5th June, 75 students attended an Environment camp at Manda Zoo, organised by J&K State Pollution Control Board & Wildlife Conservation Fund. 13 paintings from DPS Jammu out of 20 were awarded. Ms. Anuradha, Scientist, interacted with the children and presented a demonstration on composting.
Principal DPS Jammu, Ms. Ruchi Chabra, congratulated the winners and urged the students to help in conservation of their environment. Headmistress, Ms. Meenu Gupta applauded the efforts and creativity of the winners.
Hon’ble President RCT, M.K Ajatshatru Singh Ji, Hon’ble PVC Kunwrani Ritu Singh Ji and Hon’ble Director Mr. S. S. Sodhi Ji also conveyed their best wishes to all the winners on this accomplishment.
