DELHI PUBLIC SCHOOL JAMMU ORGANIZES WORKSHOP FOR TEACHERS ON ART & CRAFT

DPS Jammu organized a workshop on Art & Craft for around 40 teachers of DPS Jammu, Nagbani and Katra during the ongoing summer camp at the school. The resource person was Mr. Rakesh sen, a versatile CMDI-M.F.A Artist. The workshop was attended by mother teachers of the Prep wing along with the Art & Craft teachers of three branches of DPS. The main purpose of the workshop was to give a boost to the creative and imaginative skills of the teachers so as to encourage innovative ideas in them.
Mr. Sen displayed various techniques which helped all the participants use innovative and eco-friendly ways to give expression to their creative imagination. He also helped them to collaborate with each other and express their feelings, emotions and experiences through art. This gave a breath of fresh air to the creativity of all the participants by introducing them to the exciting blend of creativity and paper craft, e.g. dresses from newspaper, coasters from chart paper, decorations with ‘Shilpkar’ and many more. Overall, the session opened up their minds to endless possibilities in creative expression.
Principal DPS Jammu, Ms. Ruchi Chabra, felicitated Mr. Sen with a memento and advised all teachers to reap maximum benefit of Mr. Sen’s experience for preparing the school display boards and also for triggering the creative imagination of their children.
