DELHI PUBLIC SCHOOL, JAMMU ORGANIZED SPECIAL ASSEMBLY TO CELEBRATE 71st INDEPENDENCE DAY

Delhi Public School, Jammu celebrated the 71st Independence Day with great zeal and enthusiasm in the school premises. The Function began with the release of colourful balloons by the Principal and staff. A special assembly was also organized on the occasion which started with the school prayer and pledge which was followed by the school choir presenting a group song, praising the glory of India accompanied by the student instrumentalists. Thereafter, the students of the middle wing presented a vibrant dance performance charging everyone with patriotic zeal.
Principal, DPS Jammu, Ms. Ruchi Chabra congratulated everyone on the occasion of Independence Day and urged all to understand the true value and meaning of freedom. The winners of different District and Zonal level competitions were also awarded by her. Headmistress, Ms. Meenu Gupta asked the children not to forget the sacrifices of National heroes. Sh. S.S Jamwal (C.G.M Tpt.) Mr. Ravi Kotru (Dy. Headmaster) and Mr. Umesh Sharma (Chief Coordinator) were also present on the occasion. The Assembly was anchored by Arpitaa Magotra of Class X-D and Vishesh Raina of Class X-A while the vote of thanks was presented by Mr. Rakesh Gupta, House Warden, Chenab House. The assembly concluded with the National Anthem.
Hon’ble President, RCT, Sh. M.K Ajatshatru Singh Ji, Hon’ble PVC, Kunwrani Ritu Singh Ji and Hon’ble Director, Sh. S.S Sodhi conveyed their best wishes to students and staff on the occasion of Independence Day.
