DELHI PUBLIC SCHOOL, JAMMU CELEBRATED TEACHERS DAY

Teachers day was celebrated with enthusiasm and festivity in DPS Jammu on 4th Sept. 2017. A special assembly was organized on the occasion by the Ganga House.
Beginning on the auspicious note, floral tributes were offered to the great visionary Dr. Sarvapalli Radhakrishnan by Principal, DPS Jammu, Ms. Ruchi Chabra, Headmistress, Ms. Meenu Gupta, Mr. C.L Malhotra, Administrator and Coordinators. Later, in her address, the Principal, Ms. Ruchi Chabra lauded the contribution of the teachers in the overall development of the students. She highlighted the qualities of best teacher and also lauded the role model and India’s most influential scholar, Dr. Sarvapalli Radhakrishnan.
All performances of the students on the stage especially for the teachers, were memorable ones. The event commenced with scintillating Ganesh Vandana giving an auspicious beginning. This was followed by a series of Hip-Hop and contemporary group dance performances by the senior students. Instrumental music coupled with songs was a mesmerizing performance by the students of Class XI. A solo dance presented by Anisha Dogra (XI-C) left everyone spell bound.
The assembly was very efficiently anchored by Head Girl, Raj Nandini and Vice Head Boy, Ikjyot Singh alongwith Ishant of class XII, while the vote of thanks was presented by the House Warden, Ganga House, Ms. Sonu Sharma.
After this beautiful presentation, boys and girls of class XII dressed in colourful formals assumed the role of students-teachers for this special day. The morning session for the classes for Primary and Middle was managed by the student-teachers. They got a fair idea of the responsibilities so efficiently handled by the teachers. They expressed their gratitude for all the teachers for managing the students with love, care and compassion.
Hon’ble President, RCT, Sh M.K Ajatshatru Singh Ji, Hon’ble PVC, Kunwrani Ritu Singh Ji and Hon’ble Director, Sh. S.S Sodhi Ji congratulated all the teachers on teachers day and advised them to be torch bearers for the overall development of the students.
