DELHI PUBLIC SCHOOL, JAMMU ORGANIZES “DENTAL HYGIENE CAMPAIGN”

DPS Jammu organized a “Dental Hygiene Campaign” for the students of Pre-Primary block. The resident doctor, Dr. (Ms.) Savneet Bali visited all the classes from Pre-Nursery to 1st class and discussed about the importance of maintaining hygiene of the teeth. Students were shown interesting video clips regarding the same. Discussion on the consequences of not brushing teeth and eating too much junk food were held. Dr. Savneet gave demonstrations on how to brush teeth and to clean the tongue. Students were made to understand that teeth are our life long assets. They learned that brushing teeth twice a day will keep them cavity free. Eating too many sweet things can be injurious to our teeth. People love to be around those who have fresh clean breath. Brush twice a day and keep the germs away.
Principal, DPS Jammu, Ms. Ruchi Chabra appreciated the efforts of Dr. Savneet and laid importance on bringing awareness in the children regarding the need for good, healthy life style. Headmistress, Ms. Meenu Gupta also applauded the efforts and said that majority of children suffering from dental problems, need to be made aware of the issue. Also present on the occasion Co-ordinator, Ms. Preeti Abrol said that this campaign “to fight mouth germs” will help as well teach the children to have healthy and cavity free teeth.
Hon’ble Presidnet, RCT, Sh. M.K Ajatshatru Singh Ji, Hon’ble PVC, Kunwrani Ritu Singh Ji and Hon’ble Director, Sh. S.S Sodhi Ji also extended their best wishes for organising the campaign.
