DELHI PUBLIC SCHOOL, JAMMU ORGANIZES “INTER-HOUSE SKIT COMPETITION”

DPS Jammu organised “Inter- House Skit Competition” on the Topic “World Peace” on 13th September, 2017. The event was adjudged by Mr. Tanveer Dar, an eminent actor of National repute and Mr. Sanjeev Gupta, a renowned theatre artist and Manager, Abhinav theatre.
All the five houses appropriately highlighted the necessity of “World Peace” in impressive and confident manner leaving the audience awe struck. The collaborative efforts of the teachers and the students were clearly evident through all the performances.
The judges, Mr. Tanveer Dar and Mr. Sanjeev Gupta lauded the performance of the students and highly admired their awareness of the factors that are hampering world peace and gave some suggestions to tackle it. With a little margin, Yamuna house was declared the winner while Ganga house clinched the runner up trophy. The second runner up trophy was bagged by Tawi House while Yanshi Koul (XII-E) of Yamuna House was awarded as the Best Actor-Female and Sahil (X-I) of Ganga House was declared the Best Actor-Male.
Earlier, the Headmistress, Ms. Meenu Gupta welcomed judges and the gathering and presented a note on the ongoing ISA activities in the school.
Principal, DPS Jammu, Ms. Ruchi Chabra appreciated the remarkable acting skills presented by the children and highlighted the importance of theatre for the much needed cathartic effect produced by it, for youngsters, especially in today's times.
Ms. Sonu Sharma, House Warden, Ganga House presented the vote of thanks while the entire event was anchored by Medhavi Tickoo and Devansh Bhalla, students of class IX.
Hon’ble President, RCT, Sh. M.K Ajatshatru Singh Ji, Hon’ble PVC, Kunwrani Ritu Singh Ji and Hon’ble Director, Sh. S.S Sodhi Ji conveyed their blessings to all participants and wished them best of luck for all their endeavours.
