DELHI PUBLIC SCHOOL, JAMMU CELEBRATES 69TH REPUBLIC DAY

DPS Jammu celebrated 69th Republic Day on 26th January, 2018 with great enthusiasm and fervor in its premises. The programme started with the Hoisting of Tri-Colour National flag by the Principal, DPS Jammu - Ms Ruchi Chabra, which was followed by the National Anthem and the release of tri colour balloons. She was accompanied by Mr. Satyavan Doke, Chief Judicial Magistrate, Nasik, Maharashtra and members of the school administration and staff.
Greeting everyone on the occasion, Principal, DPS Jammu, Ms. Ruchi Chabra stated that progress and prosperity of each individual and the Nation are interdependent and therefore everyone requires to consciously safeguard their internal constitution of physical, mental, moral and spiritual well being along with their thoughts, words,actions and decisions, because individual progress is very much the same as the Nation’s progress.
The school staff presented impressive cultural items comprising of patriotic songs, Instrumental recitals on Guitar and Violin , and poetry recitation. The program was compered by Ms Aditi Raj and Ms Rohina Gupta.
A day earlier, a special assembly was also held wherein the students expressed their spirit of Unity and Secularism through a lively cultural program. The School Choir staged a patriotic Qawali giving a message of brotherhood to all, which was followed by poetry recitation by Ananya of class III. This was followed by Instrumental recital on Sitar by Akarshan Mehra of Class IX. Later, the Tiny Tots of Pre-Primary and Primary wings enthralled the gathering by their group dance. Ansh Ganjoo of class VIII delivered a speech highlighting the importance of Republic Day.
The winners of various Districts and Zonal level competitions were also awarded in the special assembly by the school Principal.
Mr Ravi Kotroo, Dy HM, Sh. S.S Jamwal (CGM-Tpt), Sh. C.L Malhotra (Administrator), Sh. Karandeep( Manager), Sh. R.C. Gupta( Accounts Officer), Sh. Umesh Sharma (Chief Coordinator) were also present on the occasion. Vice House Warden, Chenab House, Ms. Shivani Vaid Sharma presented a vote of thanks on the occasion.
Hon’ble President, RCT, Sh. M.K Ajatshatru Singh Ji, Hon’ble PVC, Kunwrani Ritu Singh Ji and Hon’ble Director, Sh. S.S Sodhi Ji wished a Happy Republic Day to the students, their parents and staff of the school.
