DELHI PUBLIC SCHOOL, JAMMU ORGANIZES WORKSHOP ON ‘TEACHING ECONOMICS IN THE CHANGING WORLD’

A workshop on the topic ‘Teaching Economics in the Changing World’ was organized on 4th August, 2018 at DPS Jammu. The workshop was conducted by Ms. Deepti Kandhari who had attended the workshop on similar topic at DPSS HRD Centre, Dwarka, Delhi from 24-27 July, 2018. The workshop was attended by the Economics faculty of the school. The workshop focused on the latest updates in CBSE Economics syllabus, swiftly changing trends in Economics and how to prepare teachers for dynamic class rooms which can be engaging and fruitful for teaching-learning process.
Valuable tips on Activity Based Teaching, Teaching of Micro & Macro Economics, Interpreting Data, Project Based learning, Friendly Classroom Practices and student participation through Bulletin Boards, etc. were also shared.
Principal, DPS Jammu, Ms. Ruchi Chabra lauded the efforts of the Resource Person and encouraged the teachers to be more pro-active in the class rooms. Also present on the occasion were Ms. Sheetal Kohli, Ms. Tanvi Gupta and Ms. Palvi Sharma, Senior school faculty.
