DELHI PUBLIC SCHOOL JAMMU HOLDS SPECIAL ASSEMBLY TO CELEBRATE “EID-UL-AZHA”

DPS Jammu organized a special assembly to celebrate the festival “Eid-ul-Azha” today. The assembly began with the school prayer and thought of the day followed by a talk on Eid by Mehreen Mohsin of class VIII-G. The students then presented a mesmerizing Naat (a traditional Muslim Prayer) in praise and appreciation of God which won great applause from the audience.
Principal, DPS Jammu, Ms. Ruchi Chabra, elucidated the meaning of Eid-ul-Azha i.e., “Feast of Sacrifice” and extended her wishes to the staff, students and their families. She also spoke on Kerala floods and asked the students to show empathy for the victims.
Headmistress, Ms. Meenu Gupta also expressed her wishes on this occasion and encouraged the children to walk on the right path always.
The assembly was anchored by Jia Gupta of X–F and Bhuvandeep Singh of XI-J while the vote of thanks was presented by the House Warden, Tawi House, Ms. Dipika Saini. The special assembly concluded with the National Anthem.
Hon’ble President, RCT, Sh. M.K Ajatshatru Singh, Hon’ble PVC, Kunwarani Ritu Singh and Hon’ble Director, Sh. S.S Sodhi also extended their good wishes on the festive occasion to students, parents, staff and their families.
