DELHI PUBLIC SCHOOL, JAMMU CELEBRATES TEACHERS DAY

Teachers Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm and festivity in DPS Jammu on 4th Sept. 2018 by staff and students. The function was presided over by Kunwrani Ritu Singh Ji, PVC DPS Jammu and Sh. S.S Sodhi ji, Director, DPS Jammu.
Beginning on the auspicious note, floral tributes were offered to the great visionary Dr. Sarvapalli Radhakrishnan by Kunwrani Ritu Singh ji, Sh. S.S Sodhi ji, Principal, DPS Jammu, Ms. Ruchi Chabra and other dignitaries.
Lauding the efforts of the teachers, Kunwarani Ritu singh ji, PVC DPS Jammu, appreciated the contributions made by the teachers in the overall development of the students. She highlighted the qualities of best teacher emphasizing that the best teacher inspires
She also mentioned about India’s most influential scholar, Dr. Sarvapalli Radhakrishnan who was also a former President of India.
Hon’ble Director, Sh. S.S Sodhi Ji also showered his blessings on the students and staff. He also appreciated the role of teachers to help in the overall development of the personality of students for their bright future.
All performances by the students dedicated to the teachers were memorable ones. The cultural program commenced with a scintillating Guru Vandana giving an auspicious beginning. This was followed by a series of Hip-Hop and contemporary group dance performances by the senior students, who also presented soul stirring Musical numbers.
The primary and middle wing students presented instrumental performances alongwith heart touching group songs dedicated to their teachers. The pre-primary and primary students presented Krishna Dance. The icing on the cake was the Ghoomar Dance jointly presented by the students and teachers on the occasion, which won the greatest applause.
The boys & girls of class XI & XII dressed in formals assumed the role of teachers and conducted classes as a faculty. Acting as teachers they got a fair idea of their arduous responsibility with a sense of calling.
Principal, DPS Jammu, Ms. Ruchi Chabra inspired the teachers to take teaching as a Divine Calling and perform their duties with zeal & commitment.
Deputy Headmaster, Ms. Ravi Kotroo highlighted the three recent National Accolades won by the school, while Headmistress, Ms. Meenu Gupta also spoke on the occasion and highlighted the activities which brought laurels to the school.
Later, the Management & Principal felicitated the staff with gifts, after which the staff proceeded for a planned outing and refreshment.
Hon’ble President, RCT, Sh. M.K Ajatshatru Singh Ji also conveyed heartiest wishes to all staff members on the occasion of Teachers ‘ Day and also appreciated the efforts of the students for their teachers.
