DPS JAMMU HOLDS CAREER COUNSELLING WORKSHOP FOR SCIENCE & COMMERCE STUDENTS

Delhi Public School, Jammu organized a Career Counselling workshop for the students of Science & Commerce. Mr. Avnish Gulati, Ex-Managing Director, JKB Financial Services and expert in career counseling was the Resource Person on the occasion. He was supported in the session by the School Counsellor, Ms. Supreet Kour who conducted interesting activity on “On the Spot Career Choice Assessment” of the students based on their aptitudes and interests. After the initial Ice-breaking session, Mr. Avnish Gulati highlighted the progress graph of some of the eminent professionals in various fields and discussed how one can become highly successful in any field. He also discussed various career choices available to the students requiring specialized or non-specialized education.
The session also included a quiz in which the Resource Person asked various questions and the students gave their answers enthusiastically. The session was very informative and educative for the students. The special aspect of the session was that it was highly interactive and the students interacted with the Resource Person in a friendly atmosphere.
Speaking on the occasion, Principal DPS Jammu, Ms. Ruchi Chabra encouraged students to start working for their bright careers right from now. She also thanked the Resource Person and urged the children to develop liking for what they do and choose in order to make a difference in their lives and the lives of others in future. Earlier, she welcomed the Resource Person with a potted plant.
The vote of thanks was presented by Mr. Ravi Kotroo, Dy. Headmaster. The entire event was coordinated by Chief Coordinator, Mr. Umesh Sharma while the whole workshop was compered by Ms. Aditi Sharma.
Hon’ble President, RCT, Sh. M.K Ajatshatru Singh Ji, Hon’ble PVC, Kunwrani Ritu Singh Ji and Hon’ble Director, Sh. S.S Sodhi Ji thanked the Resource Person and congratulated the staff and students for organizing the Career Counselling Workshop and appreciated their efforts.
