DPS JAMMU ORGANIZES GUEST LECTURE PROGRAMME ON DRUG AWARENESS

Delhi Public School, Jammu organized Guest Lectures Programme on Drug Awareness for senior students on 27th & 29th May, 2019. The Resource Persons were Dr. T.R Raina, M.D (Path), former Professor & Head, Post Graduate Department of Blood Transfusion, Govt. Medical College, Jammu on 27th May, 2019 and Dr. Gurmeet Kour, Specialist in Mental Health, Incharge-Drug Addiction Centre, Govt. Medical College, Jammu on 29th May, 2019.
The programmes were conducted to sensitize the students about the issue of Drug Abuse. While Dr. T.R Raina talked about the physiological and societal effects of taking drugs, Dr. Gurmeet delved into the potential dangers and health problems associated with drugs, alcohol and smoking. She also made children take a pledge on ‘Say No To Drugs’.
Principal, DPS Jammu, Ms. Ruchi Chabra cautioned the students to stay away from drugs and become aware about the potential dangers and health problems associated with drug abuse.
The vote of thanks was presented by Mr. Umesh Kumar Sharma, Chief Coordinator. The whole event was compered by Ms. Neha Mahajan and Ms. Aditi Sharma.
Hon’ble President, RCT, Sh. M.K Ajatshatru Singh Ji, Hon’ble PVC, Kunwrani Ritu Singh Ji and Hon’ble Director, Sh. S.S Sodhi Ji extended their best wishes to the students and staff for organizing the workshop.
