DPS ORGANIZES WORKSHOP ON ‘EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATION’

Delhi Public School, Jammu organized a workshop on ‘Early Childhood Education’ for the teachers of Pre-Primary and Primary Wings. The workshop began with an introductory note on ECE by Ms. Preeti Abrol, Coordinator-Pre Primary wing. Thereafter, Principal, DPS Jammu, Ms. Ruchi Chabra conducted an interactive PPT presentation on ‘Purpose of a Teacher.' She impressed upon the teachers the divine significance of their roles, purpose and responsibilities, which when assumed effectively, help shape the destiny of the little ones. The teachers were encouraged to share their everyday classroom challenges and how they coped with the same. She inspired the teachers to become "a brave lamp that shines amidst storm." The next session was taken by Ms. Ritu Kapoor on the ‘Importance of stories and story time’ for the students, wherein she emphasized on the effects of story telling child’s emotional development. Next, Ms. Sakshi Khanna in her session on ‘Importance of Emotional Needs’ laid importance on recognizing emotions behind children's actions and expressions to develop happy and secure children.
Ms. Pooja Langeh held the next session on ‘Every Child is Unique’. She emphasized on how important it is for the teachers to find out unique talents and abilities of the children to boost their self esteem.
The last session was conducted by Ms. Poonam Pakhreria on ‘Behavioural Issues among Pre-Scholars’. Also present on the occasion was Headmistress, Ms. Meenu Gupta, who congratulated and thanked Principal ma'am and all teachers for their motivational sessions. She also motivated teachers to contribute towards creating a happy school environment for benefit of all.
Ms. Richa Gupta, Academic Coordinator-Pre Primary wing presented the vote of thanks.
Hon’ble President, RCT, Sh. M.K Ajatshatru Singh Ji, Hon’ble PVC, Kunwrani Ritu Singh Ji and Hon’ble Director, Sh. S.S Sodhi Ji congratulated the staff for organizing the fruitful workshop and conveyed their best wishes to all.
