DPS Staff and students with Hon'ble Justice Rajesh Bindal during Plantation Drive

The Eco Warriors of Upvan Drive of DPS Jammu and DPS Nagbani enthusiastically joined hands with District Legal Service Authority, Forest & Floriculture Deptt, Social Forestry, and other organisations of Jammu to take part in the Tree Plantation Campaign across Jammu district which was kick started by His lordship Hon’ble Mr. Justice Rajesh Bindal, Hon’ble Executive Chairman, J&K State Legal Services Authority at Zorawar Singh Auditorium here today.
Variety of tree saplings were planted and distributed by Justice Bindal amidst enthusiastic students and stafff with the purpose of cleaning and greening the environment of Jammu and making it pollution free.
Justice Bindal not only planted trees but also distributed a variety of different saplings to students, staff and other citizens present on the occasion. He advised everyone to carry forward the green drive in the vicinity of their homes, community and neighbourhood.
Director, DPS Jammu Sh. S.S.Sodhi, lauded the green initiative led by Hon'ble Mr.Justice Bindal across Jammu district and assured that each and every member of the large DPS family shall plant at least one tree this monsoon season and help in spreading green awareness in their surroundings.
The campaign was initiated at the onset of the monsoon season, to mark 150 Birth Anniversary celebrations of Mahatma Gandhi being commemorated from 2nd October 2018 to 2nd October 2020, both at national and international level.
Hon’ble President ,RCT - M.K. Ajatshatru Singh ji, Hon’ble PVC, DPS Jammu- Kr Ritu Singh ji appreciated the efforts of the Eco Warriors of DPS Upvan Drive and extended their best wishes to all for carrying out a successful green campaign in Jammu district.
