DPS JAMMU CELEBRATES 73RD INDEPENDENCE DAY & RAKSHABANDHAN

Delhi Public School, Jammu celebrated 73rd Independence Day & Rakshabandhan with patriotic fervor and gaiety. The Tri-Colour balloons were released by the Principal, staff and students of DPS Jammu.
The cultural programme was also organized on this occasion. A Classical Solo in Raga Miyan Malhar in Jhap Taal & Tiruvat in Ektaal was presented by Ridhima Bajpai of class VIII-A, while Rajasthani Folk Song depicting the rich heritage and Rajasthani culture was also presented by the students which was followed by a patriotic poem presented by Adarshi Gupta of class V and a patriotic group dance.
Principal, DPS Jammu, Ms. Ruchi Chabra in her address asked the students to follow the path shown by our great leaders and advised them to bear in their hearts the true meaning of freedom. Later, she also felicitated the winners of different district level, state level and National level competitions.
Headmistress, Ms. Meenu Gupta asked them to always remember the sacrifices made by our freedom fighters and keep our Flag always in the highest spirit. Deputy Headmaster, Mr. Ravi Kotroo also addressed the gathering.
House Warden, Yamuna House, Ms. Pooja Chib presented the vote of thanks. The Programme was compered by Sarthak Aggarwal (XII-A) and Tarini Magotra (X-A).
The programme came to an end with the instrumental National Anthem.
Hon’ble President, RCT, Sh. M.K Ajatshatru Singh Ji & Hon’ble PVC, Kunwrani Ritu Singh Ji expressed their greetings for Independence Day & Rakshabandhan and urged the students to become responsible citizens and serve the nation whole heartedly.
