DPS JAMMU ORGANIZES ENGLISH RECITATION COMPETITION FOR NURSERY CLASS

Recitation activity helps the child to develop confidence, improve vocabulary and also help the students to get rid of stage fear. In order to instill love for poetry and to develop recitation skills amongst our little ones, Delhi Public School, Jammu organized English Recitation Competition for the students of class Nursery. The children actively participated in the competition and recited poems with proper actions and expressions. The topics were “Save Water”, “Wheel on Bus”, “I pledge to myself”, “Tiny Plant”, “Judge me not”, etc. The competition was adjudged by Ms. Shabana Rahil and Ms. Nazia Kouser.
1st prize was bagged by Adan Fatima (Nur-C) & Aleena Arora (Nur-C). Aayansh Gupta (Nur-B) & Ashvee Katoch (Nur-A) stood 2nd while Reedha Malik (Nur-A) & Rizwan Butt (Nur-A) won 3rd prize. Consolation prizes were also given to Sabreen Kaur (Nur-A) & Eva Singh (Nur-C). Special Mention prizes were bagged by Trisha Dogra (Nur-B) & Arsam Adil (Nur-A).
Principal, DPS Jammu, Ms. Ruchi Chabra congratulated the winners on their great success and stated that such competitions develop the speaking skills and uplift the confidence in children.
Headmistress, Ms. Meenu Gupta also lauded the winners. Ms. Preeti Abrol, Coordinator, Pre-Primary wing was also present on the occasion.
Hon’ble President, RCT, Sh. M.K Ajatshatru Singh Ji, Hon’ble PVC, Kunwrani Ritu Singh Ji and Hon’ble Director, Sh. S.S Sodhi Ji extended their best wishes to the winners and their parents.
